MDM Technical SME- Mobile Device Management

Role: MDM Technical SME & Advisor

Location: Remote / On-site as needed (potentially in Las Vegas not certain)
Duration: 3 months (with possible extension)

Summary: We are looking for a Mobile Device Management (MDM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide strategic and technical guidance on all aspects of our enterprise MDM initiative using Microsoft Intune. This role is advisory and hands-on, ensuring best practices, compliance, and scalable standards are followed. The SME will help the organization avoid common pitfalls and validate the architecture, policy structure, and deployment framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical authority on MDM design, security, compliance, and configuration
• Advise on best practices for enrolling and managing corporate and BYOD devices
• Review and validate compliance policies, configuration profiles, and Conditional Access rules
• Identify and mitigate risks in the MDM architecture and operational model
• Support Intune integration with Azure AD, Defender for Endpoint, and other tools
• Assist in developing governance, lifecycle management, and escalation procedures
• Mentor internal IT teams on MDM management and optimization

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of deep technical experience with Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM), Azure AD, and Endpoint Manager
• Experience designing and securing large-scale device management environments (Windows, iOS, Android, macOS)
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO 27001)
• Familiarity with co-management scenarios with SCCM (optional but preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to advise leadership and guide technical teams through MDM implementation phases
• Experience with Conditional Access, compliance policies, device enrollment methods, and app deployment
