Job Details

Title: PeopleSoft Technical Support Engineer Consultant
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Fully Remote

Project Scope:

Provide technical support for a complex PeopleSoft Human Resource Management System, associated web applications, and reporting tools. This role will also support the PeopleSoft HR system during the transition to a new enterprise HR/Finance ERP platform.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:

Programming:

  • Act as an analyst for moderately complex systems.

  • Design, code, test, document, implement, and troubleshoot programs or applications per project specifications.

  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to department or project standards.

Application Analysis:

  • Lead the analysis of business requirements and design technical solutions.

  • Coordinate testing and deployment of applications to production.

  • Provide user support and training for implemented applications.

  • Gain expertise in business rules, technical design, and operational requirements of complex subsystems.

  • Modify, test, and implement subsystem programs under the direction of the lead analyst.

Communication:

  • Deliver accurate resource estimates and progress updates to management and stakeholders.

Required Skills (Ranked by Importance):

  • PeopleTools: Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine

  • SQR, Data Mover

  • Security setup (PeopleSoft Test Framework is a plus)

  • Oracle SQL

  • PeopleSoft Reporting Tools: Query, BI Publisher

  • Functional knowledge of PeopleSoft HR modules including HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Self-Service

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience working in a higher education environment (strongly preferred)

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with PeopleSoft HR suite and PeopleTools

  • Proven experience as a PeopleSoft developer/programmer
