Job Details

The Platform Administrator performs essential administration tasks for serves, storage, and network infrastructure using configuration management tools. This role evaluates and recommends standards for cloud, on premises, and hybrid environments, execute basic to intermediate administration tasks, and collaborates on projects to support organizational IT objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond promptly to requests via the IT helpdesk system, resolving hardware, software, and application issues for users.
  • Collaborate with vendor support to address technical issues with server, storage, and network equipment and software.
  • Maintain, assign, and enforce security policies for all infrastructure components, including software installations and updates.
  • Test hardware/software technologies and recommend updates to organizational standards.
  • Identify recurring issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of server systems, storage solutions, network technologies, encryption, and security software.
  • Perform basic maintenance and break-fix tasks on servers, storage devices/services, and network equipment in on-premises and cloud setups.
  • Act as a point of contact between customers and internal IT teams to ensure accurate problem interpretation and resolution.
  • Schedule and conduct troubleshooting and resolution for infrastructure-related issues, including remote and on-premises support.
  • Provide infrastructure support during normal business hours and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
  • Log problems and resolutions accurately in the IT database, maintaining up-to-date inventories for software licenses and infrastructure components.
  • Deliver basic training and orientation to staff on IT systems and tools.

Minium Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, data science, information systems, or computer science.

Experience:

Two (2) to Four (4) years of experience in maintaining computer/server hardware, desktop/server operating systems, network file servers, network hardware, wireless devices, or resolving system operations issues.
