BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Mainframe Operations Support - Intermediate for an opportunity in Plano, TX 75024!

Position Title: Mainframe Operations Support - Intermediate
Location: Plano, TX 75024
Anticipated Start Date: Tentative Start Date

Pay Range: [$42] to [$45]

Hours: 24 / 7 team - needs to be open flexibility with hours. Rotating Shifts / Hours

Job responsibilities
* Join a team of technologists that provide end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery for the successful business operations of the firm
* Execute policies and procedures that ensure operational stability and availability
* Monitor production environments for anomalies, address issues, and drive evolution of utilization of standard observability tools
* Escalate and communicate issues and solutions to the business and technology stakeholders, actively participating from incident resolution to service restoration
* Be part of incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure
* Ability to participate in bridge calls and communicate effectively to large group of individuals at all levels.
* Responsible for administering, troubleshooting Mainframe related components.
* Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals.


Skills:
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems discipline or 3 year technical degree.
* Mainframe System and Batch Operations experience.
* Netcool/Control-M/CA7/ Zeke / Mainframe Console experience.
* 4+ years' experience in Mainframe Operations.
* Knowledge on Mainframe IPL (Initial Program Load).
* Hardware Breakfixes and basic knowledge on Storage function will be an advantage.
* Ability to follow policies and procedures, attention to detail.
* Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability around complex problems.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to think creatively to deliver solutions through continuous improvement.
* Strong desire and skills in identifying and implementing automation opportunities.
* Ability to learn and apply technical information in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
