Program Context:

This Scrum Master role supports a large-scale website redesign initiative structured around multiple PODs, each responsible for delivering up to 20 AEM components. Workstreams span AI chatbot, wayfinding, flight tracking, accessibility, and more. Teams are globally distributed, leveraging Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for CMS, with React-based front ends and Java back ends.

Each POD includes engineering, QA, UX, content, data, and SEO capabilities, with both onshore and offshore team members. The Scrum Master is expected to facilitate Agile delivery within this complex, multi-disciplinary environment.

Candidate Requirements

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate all Agile ceremonies across assigned POD(s): stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  2. Partner closely with Product Managers, Program Management, Engineering Leads, and Designers to ensure high-velocity, high-quality delivery.
  3. Coordinate across distributed teams (offshore and onshore), managing time zone differences and ensuring delivery alignment.
  4. Track and drive completion of component builds (up to 20 per POD), ensuring adherence to timelines and scope.
  5. Identify and remove blockers quickly; escalate risks and delivery challenges when needed.
  6. Work closely with QA, UX, and content contributors to ensure sprint outputs are shippable and integrated with overall AEM workflows.
  7. Use tools like Jira, Confluence to manage backlog, team velocity, burndown, dependencies, and documentation.
  8. Support integration of AEM-specific practices, including coordination with frontend (React JS) and backend (Java, AEM) developers.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 5+ years of Scrum Master experience within digital/web product delivery environments.
  • Proven success leading Agile teams across onshore/offshore delivery models.
  • Hands-on experience managing Agile teams on CMS or Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) implementations.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React), QA workflows, and component-driven development.
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional roles (UX, SEO, content strategy, data analytics).
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; able to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting large web redesign programs with phased component releases.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards and their impact on design and development.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM I) or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Familiarity with component governance and phased rollout practices in enterprise CMS environments.
