Job Summary

The Senior Java Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance software solutions in support of critical business functions. This position combines traditional full-stack development with automation and QA engineering responsibilities, making it well-suited for candidates with experience or interest in SDET-style hybrid roles. The developer will be responsible for hands-on coding, peer code reviews, and creating automated test suites to enhance quality and delivery speed.

You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, and DevOps) to build resilient applications and ensure quality through automated testing and continuous integration practices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based applications supporting sales and enrollment systems.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve complex technical issues within existing applications.
• Implement automated testing frameworks and scripts to support regression and integration testing.
• Collaborate with QA to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and third-party services.
• Participate in code reviews, ensure adherence to secure coding standards, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, providing input on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Work in an Agile environment with frequent release cycles and cross-team collaboration.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional Java/J2EE and Spring Boot development experience.
• Strong experience with REST API design and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with front-end technologies such as React.js, Node.js, or similar JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with test automation (JUnit, Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and build tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with version control (Git) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in QA automation or SDET roles.
• Experience working in healthcare, insurance, or financial services industries.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps practices.
• Experience with performance testing tools and frameworks.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
