Description
We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in Dublin, Ohio. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficient operation of IT systems within a dynamic environment. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to maintaining a seamless infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Oversee colocation and customer equipment installations, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
Deliver first-line technical support for servers, network devices, and managed services, promptly addressing issues.
Monitor critical infrastructure systems such as power systems, environmental controls, and network performance.
Conduct routine hardware inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance tasks to ensure reliability.
Manage access control systems, including badge and biometric authentication.
Perform regular walkthroughs of the data center to check equipment, record readings, and conduct operational audits.
Update and maintain the ticket queue, ensuring timely responses and adherence to quality standards.
Document system changes, procedures, and incidents in the organization's knowledge base for future reference.
Handle hardware shipments, including receiving, unpacking, inventory management, and dispatching as required.
Proactively monitor security systems such as video surveillance and address any alerts or concerns.
Requirements
Solid expertise in working within a widely-used software environment.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
Availability to work onsite five days a week.
At least two years of experience in a help desk or data center environment.
Familiarity with IT service management tools.
Certifications such as Network+, or equivalent, are highly desirable.
Knowledge of Cisco, Citrix, Dell, and firewall technologies.
Proficiency in Active Directory, Office 365, and basic network troubleshooting.
