Job Details
Title - Systems Engineer II
Duration - 11 months
Location - Bellevue, WA (Hybrid)

The successful engineer in this role will:
Design and optimize AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and ECS-based systems for auction and liquidation workflows
Drive automation solutions to resolve operational bottlenecks and reduce our 3-5 day average ticket resolution time
Implement monitoring, alerting, and self-healing capabilities for distributed AWS services
Lead compliance remediation efforts including TA Token migration across 24 applications
Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using AWS CDK/CloudFormation for pipeline migrations
Create operational runbooks and automation to improve team efficiency and reduce manual toil
Build observability solutions using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and custom metrics for performance optimization
Implement security best practices across our AWS infrastructure and application stack
Core Requirements:
3+ years experience with AWS services (Step Functions, Lambda, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS)
Strong proficiency in Python/Java with focus on serverless and containerized applications
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform)
Proven track record in operational excellence, monitoring, and incident response
Strong system design skills for distributed, event-driven architectures
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database optimization
Understanding of AWS security best practices and compliance frameworks
