Enterprise Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team. The ideal professional will collaborate with VPs, senior architects, and cross-functional leaders to define, build, and maintain enterprise/platform architectures, data architectures, API strategies, and end-to-end enterprise solutions for new initiatives. This role requires deep hands-on architecture expertise, strong communication, and the ability to create high-quality technical artifacts and roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Distributed Enterprise Application Architectures and Scalable Solutions.
• Create comprehensive architecture diagrams, documents, models, and presentations for enterprise initiatives.
• Define and evolve Enterprise API architectures, integration strategies, and roadmaps.
• Provide guidance on Enterprise Data Architecture, including RDBMS, NoSQL, Big Data concepts, and distributed data principles.
• Ensure alignment with Enterprise Security standards, principles, and best practices.
• Collaborate across technology teams to define and implement technology standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Support POCs, solution evaluations, and technology fitment assessments.
• Work with leadership to translate business strategy into actionable architectural direction.
• Contribute to cloud strategy, including multi-cloud, hybrid, on-prem, and modern containerized deployments.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 10+ years in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Distributed Architecture.
• Expert-level experience designing distributed enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience creating:
  • Architecture diagrams
  • Technical documents
  • Enterprise workflow and integration models
• Strong understanding of API architectures, API gateways, standards, and enterprise API strategies.
• Strong knowledge of Distributed Data Architectures:
  • RDBMS (Postgres preferred)
  • NoSQL (Cassandra preferred)
  • Big Data concepts
• Deep understanding of enterprise security principles, standards, and authentication/authorization models.
• Expertise in deployment architectures: On-Prem, Cloud (Google Cloud Platform/AWS), Hybrid.
• Working knowledge of architecture frameworks (TOGAF preferred).
• Experience with Agile, Kanban, CI/CD, LEAN methodologies.
• Hands-on knowledge of programming languages: Java, NodeJS, Python, Go (Golang).
• Experience with:
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • REST APIs
  • Kafka
  • Microservices architecture patterns

Preferred / Optional Qualifications

• Experience in FinTech ecosystems (Banking, Cards, Payments, Money Movement).
• Prior experience with American Express technologies.
