Job Description
DUTIES: Design, build, and troubleshoot electrical control and robotic systems for machinery and equipment that manufacture best-in-class and tech-forward vehicles. Implement standards and procedures as you work alongside with automation system suppliers to coordinate machine modification needs with engineering and maintenance. Analyze product, process, and technology to craft best methods to assemble vehicles, and protect the manufacturing process. Support design, construction, integration for new projects and vehicle programs with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Ensure successful launch and support continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants to produce high-quality products. Collaborate with suppliers and internal partners to manage program deliverables. Provide technical direction to suppliers. Design and troubleshoot electrical controls systems to existing programs at manufacturing sites. Lead automation projects for engine assembly areas and support launches at components plants. Engineer, design, develop and approve Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Bills of Equipment (BOEs) for new engine and battery pack manufacturing plant equipment and controls devices. Evaluate progress of PLC-based machinery builds at supplier plants. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-Office, 2 Days Remote - Must be able to report to local office

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field of study and Two (2) years of experience as a Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or related role. Two (2) years of experience with the following: Electrical and control systems; Mechanical concepts involving machine designs and process requirements involved in the manufacturing process; Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) programming, Ethernet and DeviceNet networks; Servo motors, motion control and drives; Design and trouble shoot electrical controls systems; and Validating safety control system.
