Job Title: Oracle ODI and OAC Developer - Oracle OBIEE, ODI (Oracle Data Integrator), OAC (Oracle Analytics Cloud)
Location: 100% Remote
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Oracle Consultant with deep expertise in Oracle Data Integrator 12c (ODI 12c), Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), and Oracle Analytics Cloud. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and support OAC and ODI environments. This role requires a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, building and modeling OAC Subject Areas within RPD and OAC Semantic Model. For ODI is mandatory that the candidate has a strong experience working with ODI KM and optimize then if it is required. Having knowledge and experience on Oracle Autonomous Datawarehouse is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Modeling and RPD Development:Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle BI Repository (RPD) models, including the Physical, Business Model and Mapping (BMM), and Presentation layers. This involves creating logical columns, hierarchies, measures, aggregation rules, and time series data.
- Report and Dashboard Development:Develop interactive data visualizations, dashboards, and analyses using OAC, including filters, prompts, and drill-down/drill-across capabilities following best data visualizations practices
- ETL Development and Data Integration:Design, develop, and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, primarily using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), to extract data from various source systems (e.g., Oracle EBS, Fusion Applications, third-party systems) and load it into the data warehouse.
- Performance Tuning and Optimization:Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in OAC Classic Mode (OBIEE style) Dashboards and Analyses reports, RPD, and ETL processes. Implement best practices for data modeling, query optimization, and caching strategies.
- Security Configuration:Implement and manage security within OAC, including row-level security, as well as user, groups and roles management, and integration with authentication mechanisms (e.g., LDAP, SSO).
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis:Collaborate extensively with business stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and functional teams to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements, translating them into technical specifications for BI solutions.
- Troubleshooting and Support:Provide expert-level support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for existing OAC and ODI environments, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Documentation and Best Practices:Create comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, data models, and deployment guides. Promote and enforce Analytics and Data Modeling best practices and data governance standards.
- Mentorship and Leadership:Potentially mentor junior BI developers and provide technical guidance within a team setting. Lead project initiatives and ensure successful delivery.
- Upgrades and Migrations:Participate in application upgrades in ODI environments and migrations of OAC environments, including migrating repositories and presentation catalogs between environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Intelligence, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of extensive experience in Business Intelligence development and implementation.
- Expert-level proficiency in OBIEE and OAC development, including RPD design (Physical, BMM, Presentation Layers), dashboard and report creation, Agents, and security implementation.
- Proven experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for ETL development, including designing mappings, scenarios, and managing data loads from source to target.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for complex data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Extensive experience with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling (star and snowflake schemas), and Kimball methodology.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of large-scale Analytics applications.
- Experience with lifecycle management of BI components (Dev, Test, QA, Prod migrations).
