Drupal/PHP Developer

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. Role Description: The Drupal/PHP Developer would need to have at least 5+ years of experience.

Note:

- Development portal that will focus as a repository

- Partner management portal partnering with TomTom, Google, etc.

- Drupal is mandatory sole contributor for this

- Background in other coding languages front end frameworks react, angular, PHP etc.

- Agile environment they run agile methodologies so this is important

- This is work from home; however, will be on-site once allowed

- Working in Sprints; tackle whatever is on the agenda; work with vendors and PM team to improve application

- Typical software development role

- Industry background is not important fine with any industry

- Ideally want 3-5 years of minimum experience

- Mix of new code creation and maintenance bug fixing of current code

- Interview process: probably around 3 interviews; all video 1st with recruitment, then panel interview, then final interview with manager

- Minimum of associates degree is required; bachelors preferred

Your role:

- Must be an experienced software engineer to help enhance the Drupal-based documentation platform.

- In this role, you will be performing bug fixes, refactoring and test automation on the internal and external facing developer portal.

- You must have experience authoring Drupal modules and be smart, friendly, collaborative, curious, and passionate about development.

Primary Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Design, implement, and extend both internal and customer-facing software

- Ensure ongoing quality of the application codebases through bug fixes, refactoring, and test automation

- Collaborate with other developers across multiple departments and technology stacks for cross-team projects

- Partner with business staff to correctly implement required features

- System Health There are large production systems that have to keep running. Constantly working to improve monitoring, up-time, performance, and scalability.

You ll need to have:

- Bachelor s degree in a technical field or equivalent; engineering or computer science background is a plus

- 3+ years of application development experience

- 2+ years of PHP development experience, with an understanding of current idiomatic design

- 2+ years of Drupal CMS development experience, including custom modules; Drupal.org contributions are a big plus

- Proficient with CSS preprocessors like Sass and LESS

Even better if you have:

- Understanding of CSS custom properties

- Basic understanding of ES6 and modern JavaScript frameworks, like Node, React and Angular, to help in application design and development. Full stack development is a plus.

- Understanding of browser differences and how to test and overcome discrepancies

- Creative, motivated, and capable of working both on your own and as part of a globally-distributed team

- Solid customer focus and commitment to product quality

Education: Associate's degree/Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent.
