Job Details

Position: QA Tester

Duration: 9 Months

Location: Augusta, Maine (Hybrid)

Work Location: Hybrid, majority remote. Will report onsite for initial equipment pick up and training (first two weeks of assignment) and then as needed (anticipated onsite need is once a quarter).

Job Description:

The State of Maine Judicial Branch is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join its Data and Project Management Team. This role will play a key part in ensuring the quality and integrity of critical applications and data systems that support the Judicial Branch's operations state wide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts for system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Validate data integrity and accuracy across judicial applications, databases, and reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and testing requirements.
  • Support data validation efforts for statewide IT modernization and reporting initiatives.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system defects, document findings, and support defect resolution efforts.
  • Monitor quality metrics and contribute to process improvement recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with quality assurance processes, methodologies, and testing tools.
  • Familiarity with data validation, data migration, and reporting system testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with government, judicial, or public sector IT systems preferred.
  • Local, state, or federal government experience.
  • Experience with Tyler Technologies Enterprise Justice Software.
