Role Overview
The Quality Automation Engineer will collaborate with manual and automation teams to enhance existing frameworks, build new scalable frameworks, and develop test automation from scratch. The role involves improving automation strategies, maximizing coverage, and driving efficient QA practices.Responsibilities
- Evaluate and enhance existing automation frameworks to build end-to-end regression suites
- Architect, design, and implement automation frameworks from scratch in CI environments
- Develop and maintain automation scripts based on project requirements
- Create data portability functions and test data
- Build smoke, functional, and regression suites for UI and backend systems
- Document and monitor software defects and test results
- Recommend improvements to test plans, processes, and tools
- Maintain test documentation and generate historical test result reports
- Lead QA automation initiatives and mentor junior team members
- Integrate automation methodologies into overall QA strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor s or Master s in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in Test Automation / Development
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies & automation concepts
- Solid experience with SDLC, test design, and execution
- Strong OOP skills
- Experience testing modern web applications & APIs (Java, .NET, REST, XML, JSON, jQuery)
- Hands-on with automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Rest Assured, etc.)
- Experience with CI tools (Jenkins preferred)
- Experience with Agile, TDD, ATDD
- SQL knowledge is a plus
- Strong analytical & communication skills
