We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Hardware/Software Integration Test Engineer to join our team. This critical role focuses on ensuring the robust integration and certification of complex embedded systems for our high-impact programs. responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be instrumental in the full test lifecycle, including:
- Developing and executing detailed integration test plans and test cases for both hardware and software components.
- Analyzing requirements and specifications to design effective, systematic test strategies .
- Collaborating closely with engineering teams to understand system architecture and integration points.
- Performing hands-on functional, performance, and regression testing of embedded systems .
- Utilizing debugging tools (e.g., JTAG emulators, logic analyzers) for in-depth troubleshooting of integration issues.
- Documenting, tracking, and verifying defect resolution, and conducting root cause analysis for identified issues.
- Maintaining and updating automated test scripts and environments.
- Ensuring strict compliance with relevant industry certification standards .
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Hardware/Software Integration Testing or a related field.
- HSIT Expertise: Deep expertise in Hardware Software Integration Testing (HSIT) methodologies.
- Certification Standards: Experience with safety-critical certification standards such as DO-178B/C or MIL-HDBK-516C .
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages, specifically C and/or Python , for script development and code review.
- Technical Skills: Proven ability to develop test cases and scripts directly from software requirements and a strong skill in reading and understanding source code .
- Debugging Tools: Experience with embedded systems debugging tools (e.g., JTAG emulators, logic analyzers).
qualifications:
Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Knowledge of safety-critical systems and related standards (e.g., ISO 26262, DO-178C).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for test environment setup.
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application in testing.
Experience with performance and load testing tools.
Experience with configuration management tools.
