Description

We are looking for a skilled Technical Writer to join our team in Fridley, Minnesota, on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in creating and refining technical documentation for manufacturing environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will play a key role in maintaining high-quality operational guidelines and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and implement updates to technical documentation.
Edit, format, and enhance a variety of content, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and operational guidelines.
Ensure all documentation adheres to grammatical, technical, and stylistic standards suitable for regulated manufacturing environments.
Utilize tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and other editing software to update and refine content.
Support efforts to improve documentation processes and practices through continuous improvement initiatives.
Review and audit existing documentation to identify areas for enhancement and maintain accuracy.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure clarity and consistency in documentation.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
Provide training or guidance on documentation tools and processes as needed.
Stay updated on best practices and industry trends in technical writing and documentation.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in technical writing or document control roles, preferably within manufacturing or regulated industries.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience working with organizational systems; familiarity with web-based editing platforms is a plus.
Strong written communication skills with exceptional grammar and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as FrameMaker, Illustrator, RoboHelp, and others is advantageous.
Familiarity with auditing practices and AP style guidelines.
Understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies or AB testing processes is a bonus.
