Director of Adoption & Ecosystem Growth Social Impact Platform | San Francisco, CA
Summary:
Our client has developed a revolutionary platform for impact. As Director of Adoption & Ecosystem Growth, you will define and lead the strategy that brings users into this purpose-driven ecosystem and keeps them engaged. You ll design viral loops, craft emotional journeys, and turn features into movements. This role blends community growth, product marketing, and behavioral design and is perfect for someone who s scaled new ideas before and thrives in high-ownership, zero-to-one environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the ecosystem adoption strategy for a social impact platform across donors, volunteers, nonprofits, influencers, and brands
- Build systems that activate engagement at launch and drive organic scale
- Create onboarding experiences, referral mechanics, and story-based growth campaigns
- Partner cross-functionally with product, design, and content teams to amplify key features and moments
- Test viral growth loops and social nudges that encourage trust and generosity
- Use feedback, analytics, and community insights to refine user acquisition strategies
- Turn early users into evangelists and early traction into scalable momentum
Requirements:
- 5+ years in product growth, community development, brand engagement, or go-to-market strategy
- Proven track record of launching products or movements that reached and resonated with large audiences
- Expertise in driving viral campaigns, user engagement strategies, and growth loops
- Deep understanding of digital behavior and how humans connect emotionally online
- Experience working cross-functionally with design, engineering, and marketing teams
- Creative problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and builds from scratch
- Passionate about social good, impact tech, and building with purpose
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading adoption strategy in a startup or social-good environment
- Familiarity with behavioral psychology, influencer marketing, or community-led growth
- Previous work with donation, volunteer, or activism platforms
- Ability to build community through content, partnerships, and product features
- Analytical mindset with comfort using data to inform emotional decisions
Education:
Bachelor s degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience
Location:
San Francisco, CA
Salary Range:
$160,000 $200,000 base + equity (commensurate with experience)
