Job Details

Jira developer/administrator would be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Jira platform used within the organization, likely focusing on Jira Software or Jira Service Management. This role involves both development (customizations, integrations, etc.) and administrative tasks (user management, configuration, troubleshooting) to ensure the platform effectively supports software development lifecycle and service management processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Jira Administration:

Managing users, groups, and permissions.
Configuring workflows, screens, fields, and issue types.
Maintaining and optimizing Jira instances (Cloud or Data Center).
Troubleshooting issues and providing support to users.
Ensuring the platform is compliant with relevant regulations and policies.
Jira Development:
Developing custom scripts, plugins, or integrations using Jira's APIs and scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Javascript).
Automating tasks and workflows to improve efficiency.
Working with other development teams to integrate Jira with other systems.
Developing and maintaining custom dashboards and reports.

Project Management:

Helping teams adopt and utilize Jira effectively.
Providing guidance on best practices for using Jira.
Facilitating communication and collaboration within teams.
Given Banking status as a financial institution, the Jira administrator/developer may need to be familiar with the specific requirements and regulations of the financial industry. This might include:
Compliance: Understanding and adhering to regulations related to data security, financial transactions, and customer data.
Auditability: Ensuring that Jira usage and configuration are auditable and traceable.
Security: Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data stored within Jira.
Santander likely uses Jira Service Management for managing IT service requests and incidents.
