Job Details
We are looking to fill a long-term Contract role as Network Engineer
Mode of Interview: In Person/ Webcam
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Work Location: Columbia, SC
Shift: EST
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be substituted.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive, hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator in an enterprise environment (supporting 1,000+ users).
- Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco/Juniper networking equipment and operating systems.
- Protocols: In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- Security: Proven experience administering enterprise firewalls (VPN setup, NAT, security policies).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Active industry certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, JNCIP, or relevant advanced security certifications (e.g., Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer).
- Industry Experience: Previous experience working within a state, federal, or public sector environment, ideally in healthcare (DPH) or highly regulated industries.
- Wireless: Experience with enterprise wireless controller systems and high-density Wi-Fi deployment.
- Automation: Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
