- Worksite Location: Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI | Hybrid
- Conversion Salary Range: $98,400-$154,600
What you will do as a Database Engineer:- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines across cloud and on-premises environments
- Administer, monitor, and optimize databases including Oracle, Snowflake, Azure SQL, and MS SQL
- Provision, configure, patch, and manage backup/recovery processes for databases
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and DBAs to troubleshoot issues and improve query performance
- Support data migration and integration as part of cloud transformation initiatives
- Implement and maintain database security, access controls, and compliance standards
- Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-sharing resources
- Contribute to Agile team planning and ceremonies, fostering a culture of shared ownership and continuous improvement
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 operations and incident response
What you will bring to the Database Engineer role:- 7+ years of experience in database engineering or related technical roles
- Hands-on expertise with Oracle, Snowflake, or Azure SQL Database
- Strong skills in system performance tuning and query optimization
- Solid understanding of Azure or other cloud platforms and cloud-native data services
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines in cloud or hybrid environments
- Familiarity with database change management tools such as Liquibase
- Skills in scripting or automation using Ansible, Python, or Terraform
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and monitoring/observability tools
- Background in Agile or SAFe environments
