Job Details

Overview:
Join a dynamic engineering team focused on designing and optimizing electrical control systems for advanced manufacturing equipment. This role is instrumental in enhancing productivity, ensuring operational safety, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions. You ll contribute to cross-functional initiatives, own key technical responsibilities, and help drive continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility.

Core Competencies:

  • Proficient in interpreting and developing electrical schematics and circuitry

  • Strong experience with PLC and HMI programming, ideally across multiple platforms; advanced knowledge of Ladder Logic and Structured Text is essential

  • Deep familiarity with Siemens PLC systems (majority of systems in use)

  • Experience with or willingness to learn 3D modeling tools, preferably CREO

  • Bonus: Prior exposure to LabVIEW and legacy machine systems

  • Solid understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems across production cells


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, troubleshoot, and enhance electrical components, systems, and instrumentation

  • Develop and maintain robust electrical control systems aligned with engineering standards, regulations, and project budgets

  • Generate and revise design layouts and electrical documentation for manufacturing systems

  • Program, test, and maintain control software for PLCs, robotic systems, and NC machinery

  • Lead redesign efforts to improve system performance, safety, and cost-efficiency

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and operational challenges

  • Evaluate and select appropriate control components and system hardware

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and quality standards

  • Specify electrical and material requirements for procurement

  • Stay informed on emerging electrical engineering technologies and best practices


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience

  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and precision

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities independently

  • Proven experience supporting new product introductions and process development

  • Proficient with Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC systems

  • Familiarity with numerical control (NC) machinery and robotic automation

  • Comprehensive understanding of NFPA 70E and arc flash safety requirements
