3GPP 4G/5G Wireless Networking, Remote Probing, Packet Broker migration
Tasks and Responsibilities
Open FDR for the project
Audit packet broker configs and work with the various teams to complete the PEC design/review Drive the layer 1 deployment based on the PEC/design Work with the regional team to conduct Layer 1 testing/validation Leverage internal automation tools to create a golden config for the packet broker Perform hands-on configurations for the packet brokers using the golden config Test the hands-on configurations using Data insight/SevOne Perform migration of the traffic Troubleshoot any issues encountered during the MW Perform post-migration KPI validations using nG1
Skills
- Ability to validate KPIs pre and post changes.
- Advanced knowledge of both Irisview and NG1 systems along with understanding of which KPIs need to be validated for each change in the visibility fabric.
- Extensive knowledge of VZ 4G and 5G network call flow.
- Extensive knowledge of traffic migrations for all monitored interfaces.
- Wireless network element interface understanding for both PNFs and VNFs.
- Configuration and architecture expertise for both Extreme Networks and Keysight.
- Ability to translate Extreme running configuration into a Keysight configuration.
- Project management skills, coordinating Jara tickets, front door request, PEC creation, network element failovers, Verizon Transport deployments, inventory management, managing Extreme Core RE work, Extreme Market RE work, and Keysight RE work.
- Wireless Network Visibility infrastructure troubleshooting and Automation.
Required Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
10 15 years of hands-on experience as a network Engineer
