Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop, and implement DevOps strategies and frameworks for systems focusing on a stable and seamless environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and IT to ensure seamless integration and deployment. Automate deployment processes, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure compliance, high availability, and scalability. Develop continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to support efficient software delivery. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior DevOps engineers and other team members. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software/Application Developer, Technical Delivery Lead, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires four (4) years of experience with the following: setting up and managing environments in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms; microservices architecture and API management, including troubleshooting; developing, debugging, deploying, and managing applications using Java J2EE, Spring Boot, and the Spring framework. This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: orchestrating and managing CI/CD with Jenkins, GitLab, Jules, and Spinnaker. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: designing and implementing DevOps blue-green strategies for stable environments; collaborating in cross-functional teams, including with developers, engineers, and business stakeholders; automating deployment, monitoring, and maintenance for compliance and scalability using Python, Bash, and infrastructure as code with Terraform; container orchestration using Kubernetes with Docker; OAuth 2.0 security and database management and troubleshooting; developing and managing Cloud Formation templates with AWS; database migrations from on-premises to public cloud using AWS RDS and DynamoDB; logging and monitoring tools including DataBus, Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, Datadog, and Dynatrace; managing messaging and stream processing with Kafka streams, RabbitMQ, and ActiveMQ; creating design documentation build books and run books for cloud solutions.
