Learning Content Designer

Job Description:

Job Title: Learning Content Designer Job Location: Sunnyvale, California Work Schedule: On-site Rate: $90/Hr, Based on experience.
Responsibilities: Primary Function

The Learning Content Designer is responsible for developing engaging learning materials that align with defined learning objectives, apply adult learning principles, and utilize appropriate training modalities and methods.
Essential Job Duties
Upon onboarding and completing required qualifications, the Learning Content Designer will:

• Analyze role-specific learner needs and craft measurable learning objectives.
• Identify common learning needs across digital audiences and adapt content accordingly.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and update learning content for various audiences, including technical teams (e.g., engineers), helpdesk professionals, digital sales, sales engineers, and implementation teams.
• Partner with multimedia teams to create or modify media assets for learning materials.
• Manage the content development process, including milestones, risks, review cycles, feedback, and quality assurance.
• Oversee deliverables through implementation, translation, and launch, providing regular project status updates.
• Evaluate learning content using qualitative and quantitative methods to inform continuous improvement and workflow efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Ability to achieve certification on applicable digital content.
• Experience designing and developing eLearning, instructor-led training (ILT), and assessments.
• Proven ability to deliver training in professional or classroom settings.
• Strong understanding and application of adult learning theory, analysis tools, evaluation models, and assessment best practices.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders to create robust learning solutions.
• Strong self-management, prioritization, and adaptability to shifting project requirements.
• Skilled at presenting clear solutions to achieve cross-functional alignment.
• Proficiency in instructional design processes, tools, and templates.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must provide work samples and/or portfolio.

Education and Training

• Bachelor s degree required (Instructional Design, Education, or Science/Engineering preferred).
• Software proficiency:
  • Articulate Rise
  • Articulate Storyline
  • Camtasia
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Smartsheet or equivalent project management tool

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 2 years of experience in a biotech or medical device organization.
• Master s degree in Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, or Educational Technology.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC), remote troubleshooting tools, and user management systems.
