RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Product Owner in Houston, TX.
Summary:
The D365 Senior Product Owner is responsible for driving the strategy, configuration, and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations or Customer Engagement) to meet business objectives. This role acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that solutions deliver measurable value and align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Ownership:
* Define and prioritize the product backlog for Dynamics 365, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs
* Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams
* Maintain and communicate the product vision and roadmap
Gathering & Analysis:
* Collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to capture detailed business requirements
* Translate requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
* Conduct impact assessments for proposed changes across processes and systems
System Configuration & Optimization:
* Oversee configuration and optimization of D365 modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory, etc.)
* Ensure data integrity and consistency across integrated systems
* Support system customizations and enhancements aligned with business processes
Agile Delivery:
* Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and PI planning sessions
* Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features and enhancements
* Champion Agile best practices and continuous improvement
Testing & Change Management:
* Lead UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and regression testing for new functionalities
* Support training and adoption of new features across teams
* Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations and workflows
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Customer Engagement
* Strong background in data analysis, integration, and automation within D365
* Hands-on experience with D365 modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement)
* Familiarity with SQL for data validation and analysis
* Understanding of ERP workflows and business process optimization
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Strategic thinking and ability to align technology with business goals
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change
* Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage complex projects
Certifications (Preferred):
* Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals or Functional Consultant
* Agile/Scrum certifications (CSPO, SAFe PO/PM)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
