Job Details
Job Description:
- Deep expertise in Sybase and SQL Server.
- Strong SQL, T-SQL, performance tuning, and indexing.
- Experience with data modeling and migration tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and version control (Git).
- Leadership and stakeholder communication.
- Lead the migration strategy from Sybase to SQL Server, ensuring minimal disruption and high data integrity.
- Design and optimize SQL Server schemas, indexes, and stored procedures for performance and scalability.
- Oversee data mapping and transformation, ensuring consistency between old and new systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (ETL, UI, Reporting) to align database changes with application needs.
- Implement best practices for database security, backup, and recovery.
- Conduct performance benchmarking and tuning post-migration.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide technical decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
