Candidates need to pass codility test (90+% score required). Best to look for candidates who have experience clearing technical tests on platforms such as codility, hackerrank, leetcode, etc. We have generally observed that the candidates who have not been exposed to such 3rd party online tests fail to pass even if they are overall skilled candidates.

Description:

The Lead QA Automation Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through rigorous testing and automation practices. This is a hands-on role primarily focused on developing and enhancing our test automation frameworks, tools and automated test cases. Collaborate with QA and Software engineers to improve productivity and test execution time through automation, tools, and other best practices. Lead initiatives for the team to improve on automation and streamline processes. Mentor and support other QA team members, coordinate internal knowledge sharing sessions and implementation of best practices. Able to handle multiple projects and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, Implement, Enhance Test Automation Frameworks and Tools:
    • Design, Implement UI, API, and Backend Automation Frameworks and Tools to eliminate regressions and ensuring the highest product quality standards.
    • Lead the improvement and implementation of automation best practices which will ensure robust, scalable, and low maintenance automation tests.
    • Work with Scrums teams to maintain reliable automated regression suites.
    • Research and Implement Proof of Concepts for new tools, methodologies and processes which will help meet the goals of continuous quality deployments. Drive adoption of new tools and methodologies.
      • Outcome: Automation, Utilities and Tools implemented to enable rapid deployments which meet quality coverage.
  • Automation Strategy Leadership:
    • Develop and refine the test automation strategy to align with organizational objectives, focusing on scalability and adaptability.
      • Outcome: A scalable, low maintenance, adaptable automation framework that efficiently meets current and future testing needs.
  • Test Optimization and Efficiency:
    • Continuously evaluate and optimize testing processes and automation practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
      • Outcome: Streamlined testing operations that reduce cycle times and improve software quality.
  • Reporting and Metrics:
    • Generate Testing Reports, Create Dashboards to track QA Metrics.
      • Outcome: Track QA metrics to organization goals and KPI s.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with software development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that testing strategies are fully integrated and aligned with project goals.
      • Outcome: Strong alignment between testing processes and business objectives, ensuring that all project requirements are met.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and elevate the QA automation team. Provide guidance and support for professional development and technical challenges.
      • Outcome: A highly skilled and motivated QA team capable of tackling complex automation challenges.
Key Skills:
  • Proficiency in Manual and Automated Software Testing Techniques at different layers of technology stack such as UI front end, API , Integration, Database.
  • Experience with Testing Tools and Frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Katalon)
  • Experience with Implementing Frameworks, Utilities, Integrations for Test Automation.
