Our client is a leading provider of IT solutions and services, dedicated to delivering exceptional support and innovative technology solutions to their customers. They are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join their team and provide top-tier technical support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Location: Local to Washington DC

Pay Rate: $25 - $28 an hour

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
  • Provide Tier 2 deskside end-user support, including imaging, deployment, and asset management.
  • Troubleshoot complex and advanced end-user issues with hardware and software.
  • Perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMAC) procedures and lifecycle refresh activities.
  • Update the status of queued service requests in the IT service management system.
  • Collaborate with engineers from multiple teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Customize desktop images or create new images from scratch.
  • Set up and support conference room and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems.


Experience Requirements:
Job Requirements:
  • Proficiency in deploying customer hardware and software.
  • Experience in customization and creation of desktop images.
  • Strong problem resolution skills for IT support to end users.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting Microsoft Windows.
  • Ability to install and configure new machines in a Windows environment.
  • Experience with Office 365, VPN, Active Directory, and Thin Client.
  • Familiarity with remote tool support.
  • Experience with HDI Desktop Tech.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Good organization and scheduling abilities.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.


Education Requirements:
Education Requirements:
  • A degree is required; however, a High School Diploma may be substituted with 6 additional years of related experience.
  • HDI Technical Support Professional certification required within six (6) months of employment.
  • Certifications such as A+, Net+, Secure+, and ITIL V4 are desirable but not required.


Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
