Hybrid Houston, TX- 4 days in Houston, TX office, Friday work from home.

10+ years of experience. Must be very strong in coding with core Python and AWS- this is a development role. Need hands on in coding, testing and deploying.

Not a Devops role.

Skills needed:

• Cloud based development- Python, AWS
• Enterprise coding standards
• Agile development methodologies

• Analytical skills
• Verbal and written communication
• Practical (Hands on ) Experience working on complex cloud-based software projects, web application development, security and open source technologies
• Must Have:
• Cloud Technologies: Java, Microservices/API, AWS, IAM, S3, EFS, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, AWS APIs, AWS CLI, Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka, CloudFormation, Serverless
• Experience working with Databases like Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 or NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Dynamo DB, PostGreSQL
• Big Data Technologies like Java, Scala, Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark, Solr
• Efficient in Scripting language such as shell script, python
• Good understanding in Linux commands such as grep, top, nohup etc.

Role:

• Develop enterprise-level digital solutions by analyzing, coding and performing unit testing
• Coordinate with business analysts and/or users to determine requirements
• Collaborate with lead/architect to determine the design of quality technical solutions
• Resolve defects/issues and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Perform peer code reviews and ensure the quality of code
• Co-ordinate with DevOps team for deployments
