Connectivity Engineer

Bayer U.S. LLC seeks a Connectivity Engineer to work in Myerstown, PA. This is a factory-based position that will execute the Digital IT (Information Technology)/OT (Operational Technology)/PCT (Process Control Technology) architecture and future vision of the CH (Consumer Health) division and site as well as support functions/projects supporting the technological operability and availability of all Process Control Technology and real-time Data-Acquisition systems (including Technical Systems (Plant Floor Manufacturing and Packaging Equipment), Historization, EMS/(BAS) Utility Control, and Robotics).

Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a related position.

Experience must include 5 years: (i) leading and implementing process control system enhancements, including the development and execution of capital projects to upgrade and/or replace equipment; (ii) working with Digitalization and/or MES in a pharmaceutical or FDA regulated environment as well as technical understanding of OT infrastructure, systems, and interfaces; (iii) designing and coordinating the development of IEC-related engineering projects that arise as a result of growth or optimization of processes or areas, as well as ensuring compliance in quality, time, and form; (iv) promoting best practices in the management of capital investments by providing technical expertise to maintain cutting-edge technological development; (v) designing and guaranteeing technical alternative solutions, reconciling with the customer, and contributing to information processing for the calculation of profitability of the project assigned; (vi) generating specification of equipment, materials, and facilities needed for the project assigned; (vii) analyzing technical problems and implementing solutions in an efficient manner; (viii) coordinating and evaluating activities to ensure compliance scope; (ix) promoting engineering projects with internal customers, translating their needs into commercially viable technical proposals; (x) building and maintaining the technical, administrative, and legal documentation to ensure full compliance with quality management systems; (xi) ensuring compliance with all rules and work procedures as well as guidelines and standards governed by national and international laws; and (xii) monitoring and ensuring the implementation of the specialty to ensure optimum closing.
