Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing requirements, designing test cases, executing manual tests, and reporting defects to ensure a high-quality product is delivered to end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and functional requirements to understand testing scope

  • Create, review, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios

  • Perform different types of testing such as Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and UAT

  • Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools

  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to resolve issues

  • Re-test defects and validate fixes

  • Prepare test reports and provide test execution status updates

  • Participate in requirement reviews and sprint planning meetings

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best testing practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC

  • Experience in writing test cases and executing manual tests

  • Knowledge of defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps)

  • Basic understanding of databases and SQL (preferred)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Basic knowledge of automation testing concepts (a plus)
