IT Director (Managed Services)

Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced and motivated IT Director with managed services experience for our client near Elm Grove, WI. This role involves overseeing the overall IT strategy of the company, leading technical teams, managing client IT issues, and ensuring efficient project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical skill set, leadership capabilities, a focus on client satisfaction, and proven experience in growth and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical teams to deliver infrastructure and security services.
• Manage team operations, performance, and professional development.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client requirements.
• Ensure client satisfaction by continuously improving service delivery and SLAs.
• Collaborate with account management teams on project planning and pricing.
• Develop relationships with vendors and implement best practices.
• Provide strategic reporting on KPIs, opportunities, and challenges to leadership.
• Travel locally as needed for client visits.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• To be considered, candidates must have prior leadership experience at a managed service provider (MSP) with more than 100 employees.
• Candidates must have experience with growth strategies specific to managed service providers (MSPs), ideally with a proven track record of scaling a small MSP into a larger, more mature organization.
• Extensive knowledge in areas such as server technologies, virtualization, networking, cloud solutions (e.g., Office365, Azure), security solutions, and disaster recovery.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in a service provider or consulting environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to manage hybrid and/or remote technical teams.
