Job Details

VDart is seeking a SCADA Applications Engineer to support one of the world s largest renewable energy developers. In this role, you will be responsible for the integration, programming, commissioning, and testing of SCADA systemsthat control renewable power plants. You will act as the Owner s Representative, ensuring successful delivery of SCADA projects by coordinating with vendors, consultants, and EPCs.

This is a hands-on, non-managerial position requiring strong technical expertise, project coordination, and the ability to deliver results in fast-paced renewable energy environments.

Position: SCADA Applications Engineer
Location: Remote (50% travel required)

Location: Juno Beach, FL

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate, program, commission, and test SCADA and RTU systems for renewable power plants.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications to support power generation onto the utility grid.
  • Review and provide feedback on SCADA engineering designs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, sub-suppliers, and EPCs to align project priorities and meet milestones.
  • Plan and coordinate work schedules, vendors, and deliverables across a portfolio of renewable projects.
  • Design, commission, and test power plant controllers for PV and Energy Storage Systems.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to management.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as required.

Preferred Background

  • Bachelor s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Automation Systems, or related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, including programming, integration, and commissioning.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
