Job Overview:
The Data Analyst I will play a critical role in ensuring an exceptional employee experience by managing employee data and supporting various HR processes. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, has a strong background in human resources, and is skilled in process improvement. The role involves managing employee cases, conducting audits, and collaborating with multiple teams to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the involuntary and voluntary separation process with a focus on compliance and employee experience.
- Coordinate, compile, and deliver documentation requests from legal partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees with questions regarding their last day of employment.
- Manage the work authorization program for the US, including vendor management, auditing for accuracy, and compliance checks.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
- Collaborate closely with Recruitment and Payroll teams to resolve employee cases.
- Conduct audits of employee data in Workday to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Work collaboratively to achieve team goals, taking on additional tasks as needed.
- Support standard and ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards, scorecards, and metrics.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiencies across the company.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new Employee Data Specialists.
- Mentor junior members of the Employee Data team.
- Act as a point of contact for issues in the absence of the team's manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in human resources, including resolving complex employee inquiries.
- Experience resolving data issues within an HRIS, preferably Workday.
- Ability to manage a high volume of employee cases efficiently.
- Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable handling highly sensitive and confidential matters.
- Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and conditional formatting.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Formal process improvement training.
- Prior experience as an HR Generalist.
- Experience in a centralized HR department or shared services organization.
- Familiarity with case management systems and Workday.
- Experience working effectively in a virtual team environment.
