Description

Your role at GEI.

The AI Solutions Lead is responsible for leading GEI's AI solutions delivery model and managing the AI Solutions Factory, which builds and operationalizes AI capabilities in support of GEI and select enterprise initiatives. This role provides day-to-day leadership of the factory team, ensuring AI solutions are delivered with high quality, scalability, security, and alignment to GEI technology and governance standards.

The AI Solutions Lead partners closely with GEI and enterprise stakeholders, receiving prioritized AI initiatives from the AI Solutions Coordination Center and leading their execution through the AI Solutions Factory. Acting as a bridge between innovation, delivery, and IT governance, this role ensures AI concepts and pilots are translated into repeatable, production-ready solutions while protecting GEI-specific priorities and delivery needs.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead the overall operation and execution of GEI's AI Solutions Factory, ensuring consistent delivery, quality, and throughput across AI initiatives.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary AI delivery team, including solution architects, AI engineers, and full stack engineers.
  • Define, prioritize, and sequence AI use cases in collaboration with business, digital, and IT stakeholders, maintaining strong intake discipline and delivery focus.
  • Support the creation of a digital roadmap for GEI, from concept to deployment: prioritize initiatives, build business cases, manage change, and scale digital transformation.
  • Establish and maintain delivery processes, standards, and performance expectations for AI solution development and deployment.
  • Be accountable for the quality, usability, and production readiness of AI solutions delivered by the team, ensuring solutions meet defined user requirements, architectural standards, and enterprise expectations.
  • Ensure AI solutions comply with enterprise governance, security, privacy, and responsible AI standards.
  • Partner closely with IT leadership to align AI innovation with enterprise platforms, data architecture, cybersecurity, and operational requirements.
  • Track delivery progress, risks, and outcomes, and communicate status, insights, and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
  • Ensure reusable patterns, components, and delivery practices are captured and leveraged to accelerate future AI initiatives and reduce duplication.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in digital, technology, or engineering delivery roles, including at least 5+ years leading high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading AI, advanced analytics, or digital solution delivery in complex enterprise environments.
  • Proven ability to manage distributed teams and stakeholders across multiple time zones, with comfort leading in remote and hybrid environments.
  • Strong understanding of AI solution architectures, including cloud-based AI platforms, data foundations, model lifecycle considerations, and enterprise integration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft-centric AI and cloud platforms, such as Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, large language models (LLMs), and agent-based or workflow-driven AI solutions.
  • Experience partnering with IT, security, and governance teams to ensure digital initiatives are both innovative and technically sound.
  • Experience leading digital initiatives using a mix of Agile, Scrum, product-oriented, and traditional delivery models, adapting approach based on risk, maturity, and stakeholder needs.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging executive leadership and translating technical concepts into business-relevant outcomes.
  • Preferred experience delivering digital, data, or AI-enabled solutions within the AEC industry, infrastructure, environmental, or professional services industries.
  • Master's degree or advanced degree in engineering, technology, business, or a related field is strongly preferred.
