The Principal Architect - Integrations is responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based integration solutions for mobile applications and third-party APIs, with a focus on developing APIs for external customers, integrating identity solutions, and defining interfaces for mobile apps. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, understanding business requirements, and ensuring that the integration architecture aligns with enterprise architecture roadmaps, coordinate serverless modernization between teams leveraging AWS cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Cloud Integration Solutions: Develop high-level and detailed cloud-based integration architecture designs for mobile applications and third-party APIs.
  • API Development: Design and develop APIs for external customers, ensuring they are robust, secure, and scalable using AWS services.
  • Identity Solutions: Integrate identity solutions such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SAML within the AWS environment to ensure secure authentication and authorization.
  • Interface Definition: Define and manage interfaces for mobile apps to ensure seamless integration with backend systems and third-party services, leveraging AWS technologies.
  • System Analysis: Analyze existing cloud and mobile systems to identify integration points and opportunities for optimization.
  • Implementation: Lead the implementation of cloud-based integration solutions, including AWS services like API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, and IAM.
  • AWS Cloud Expertise: Utilize AWS cloud services for developing, deploying, and managing integration solutions. Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, IAM, and other relevant AWS tools is essential.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with mobile development teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure successful integration.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for mobile app integration processes, architecture, and configuration

Minimum Requirements:
Requires a Bachelors degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in integration architecture or related roles, with a focus on mobile app and third-party API integrations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in integration technologies such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, and mobile middleware platforms.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$143,200.00 - $214,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
