What we're looking for
  1. Analytical and data analysis skills using Microsoft SQL.
  2. Excellent team, verbal and written communication skills
  3. Experienced SQL Server/MS-SQL scripting and Databricks expertise.
  4. Experience with Data mining, Data Science, and Predictive analytics is a plus.
  5. Ability to build complex queries and reports using Microsoft SQL

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Advisor Cloud Engineer will support the business intelligence and data science migration and build strategies that deliver comprehensive data models for actionable data reporting and analysis within healthcare for functional, business leaders, and team members.
Under general direction, the Advisor Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing and/or creating, maintaining, deploying, and managing Databricks and SQL applications for internal business teams and our customers. Candidates will work collaboratively with IT staff, and business stakeholders to create, maintain, and support ETL packages in a compliant, regulated environment. Escalate concerns to project management or Team Lead, assist in determining best practices and provide suggestions on how to improve current practices.

Your role in our mission
  • Participate in JAD (Joint Application Design), RAD (Rapid Application Development) and DSD (Design Specifications Document) sessions to define and understand the business requirements and present detailed systems design documentation for reports, data interface files, data conversion and any other method of data exchange.
  • Develop, test, manage and implement Databricks/SQL Packages from development server to production server using package configuration.
  • Work on maintenance and Administration of Databricks by creating Jobs, Alerts, SQL Mail Agent, and schedules.
  • Develop with Python, Spark, or similar tools
  • Design and guide other developers on complicated interfaces and should have strong debugging skills.
  • Automate the execution of Databricks packages using SQL Server Agent Jobs.
  • Proactively engage on continuous improvement efforts.
  • Diagnose and resolve incident tickets and errors.
  • Develop ETL specifications, data mapping and other documentation required for ETL development.
  • Use SQL, data models, data element dictionary and schema to perform data and business analysis.
  • Understand business data and perform quality assurance testing to ensure the data presented is correct.
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers.
  • Support Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, End-to-End System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.

Recommended Additional Skills/Experience
  • Experience in Healthcare IT working with claims, member and provider data strongly desired.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services: EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift and Glacier/Archival
  • Experience creating Logical and Physical data models and documentation.
  • Experience with visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau.
  • Ability to abide by Client policies.
  • Ability to maintain attendance to support required quality and quantity of work.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, and customers.
  • Design and guide other developers on complicated interfaces and should have strong debugging skills.
