DPP is seeking a Print Production Technician for an opportunity with our client in the banking sector in Columbia, SC.

Work arrangement:
- W2 position; contract to hire.
- 8:00am-4:45pm Monday through Friday.
- The Print Production Technician plays a key role in supporting the bank s in-house Print Shop, delivering high-quality printed materials and services to internal teams, associations, and their customers.
- Reporting to the Bank Services Supervisor, this position is responsible for coordinating print and binding jobs, operating printing equipment, and ensuring timely and accurate production.
- Collaborates directly with internal customers to coordinate printing and binding requests.
- Uses design software to create, adjust, and prepare stationery and other printed materials.
- Manages outsourced print jobs when needed, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Operates various printing and binding equipment to produce professional-grade materials.
- Maintains accurate records of work requests and production activities.
- Supports multiple areas including product expertise, administrative tasks, accounting operations, and technical support.
- Communicates effectively with bank staff, association customers, and service vendors to ensure smooth operations.
- Adheres to HIPAA requirements and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Works both independently and as part of a fast-paced, collaborative team.
- Screen incoming jobs submitted through DSF or Marketing channels to ensure proper setup for production.
- Maintain DSF products, media, templates, and Association URL sites.
- Use design software such as PrintShop Mail to prepare mailers, layouts, and impositioning.
- Document job specifications in the shared folder and/or DSF system.
- Integrate jobs into the production schedule to meet customer delivery expectations.
- Provide quotes for in-house services or obtain competitive quotes from local printers.
- Coordinate outsourced jobs to align with customer expectations for quality, price, and turnaround time.
- Perform quality control checks on orders prior to delivery.
- Operate printing and binding equipment to produce various bank and association jobs.
- Print transactional items such as payroll documents, escrow notices, rate change notifications, and equity-related materials.
- Update job status and details in DSF as needed.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of paper, envelopes, toner, and other supplies.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and service calls.
- Conduct quality control checks and participate in special projects as assigned.
- Support other department areas based on workload and supervisor direction.
- Maintain the Print Reconciliation System to ensure accurate tracking of completed jobs.
- Apply appropriate reconciliation methods for mail-related jobs.
- Record job details and ensure proper handoff within the job flow.
- High school graduate, preferably with at least one year of technical training either through a high school vocational program or a technical college program.
- 2 years of comparable work experience.
- Familiar with operating high-speed copy equipment.
- Strong attention to detail; takes directions well. Follows policies and procedures.
- Ability to express thoughts clearly verbally and in writing, keep complete records and interact effectively with other people. Must possess a strong background in customer service.
- Knowledge of PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, database management software, and various graphic design programs. Familiar with page layout programs such as InDesign.
- Maintains confidentiality of information that passes through the Print Shop.
- Ability to safely and comfortably lift up to 25 lbs.
- Mechanical ability to perform key operator duties on all equipment.
- Must possess a valid South Carolina driver s license.
