RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Automation Tester in Armonk, NY.
Summary:
We are seeking a Desktop Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in designing and implementing a Unified Automation Framework for desktop applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in C# and Python-based automation, along with solid experience using JUnit and MUnit for test orchestration, execution, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Architect, develop, and maintain a scalable desktop test automation framework supporting multiple technologies
* Automate functional, regression, and integration test scenarios for desktop applications using C# and Python
* Implement and manage test execution using JUnit and MUnit, including parameterization and reporting
* Design reusable automation components, libraries, and utilities following OOP and SOLID principles
* Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
* Perform root cause analysis for test failures and collaborate closely with development teams
* Produce clear technical documentation and communicate test strategy, coverage, and risks to stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience in desktop application automation (Windows-based applications)
* Advanced programming skills in C# and Python
* Hands-on experience with JUnit and MUnit test frameworks
* Strong understanding of automation framework design patterns (Data-driven, Keyword-driven, Hybrid)
* Experience with test reporting, logging, exception handling, and synchronization techniques
* Proficiency with Git or other version control systems
* Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
* Exposure to cross-platform or unified automation frameworks
* Knowledge of performance or reliability testing for desktop applications
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
