RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a talented Performance Test Engineer in New Albany, OH. The client is looking for an Engineer to ensure our e-commerce and retail systems deliver fast, reliable, and scalable experiences.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and execute performance and load testing scenarios for retail applications using k6, Playwright, and Neoload
* Automate performance tests and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous quality
* Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations for performance improvements
* Collaborate with development and QA teams to optimize e-commerce and backend systems
* Maintain and enhance performance testing frameworks to support new features and releases
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Proven experience in performance testing, preferably in retail or e-commerce systems
* The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with performance testing tools, scripting, and CI/CD integration, with a strong focus on optimizing web and retail applications
* Extensive hands-on experience with k6, Playwright, and JavaScript
* Experience with Neoload for load and performance testing
* Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests
* Knowledge of e-commerce or retail system performance considerations (site speed, scalability, peak load handling)
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying performance issues
Nice-to-Have Skills:
* Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) for performance testing
* Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or New Relic
* Knowledge of additional performance testing tools or frameworks
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
