Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

We are seeking an Engineering technician in a production environment, will work closely with Engineers and Project Managers as well as production teammates. Will build communication systems to meet drawings/specifications for Navy ships.

Essential Functions:

• Build various assemblies required to complete communication systems for Navy ships:
  
  • Cables
  • Shelves
  • Cabinet rack-ups
  • UPS equipment
  • Peripheral equipment which is installed throughout the ship
  • System set-up/alignment
  • Testing/troubleshooting

• Experience/abilities:
  
  • Build assemblies using Engineering drawings
  • Red-line drawings as required during assembly
  • Test completed assemblies
  • Troubleshoot/repair assemblies

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 8 years prior technician experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 4 years prior technician experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

• • Soldering
  • IPC 610 certification
  • IPC 620 certification
  • Communication equipment assembly/test
