Job Details
Position: AI Engineer Vertex AI / Google Cloud Platform
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 Months + Contract
We are looking for a skilled AI Engineer with deep hands-on experience in Vertex AI and Google Cloud Platform IAM (Identity & Access Management). The core mission of this role is to analyze, remediate, and secure misaligned IAM configurations using AI/ML solutions, and to develop scalable pipelines for continuous access control governance.
The ideal candidate brings a combination of cloud security awareness, AI/ML engineering skills, and a passion for solving complex permission-related problems in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Use Vertex AI to model, detect, and resolve misconfigured IAM roles and permissions across Google Cloud Platform
Design and implement automated workflows that support least-privilege access and compliance at scale
Deploy AI pipelines and monitor model performance using Google Cloud Platform-native tools such as Vertex AI Pipelines, BigQuery, and Cloud Functions
Partner with cloud security and platform engineering teams to integrate access governance workflows
Contribute to cloud security strategy, automation, and model lifecycle management
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or cloud-focused automation roles
2+ years of direct experience working with Vertex AI and Google Cloud Platform
Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform IAM, including roles, permissions, and access policies
Proficiency in Python and machine learning libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
Experience building and deploying ML models in production with a focus on security or infrastructure
Familiarity with CI/CD practices for ML (MLOps), version control, and monitoring
Nice to Have:
Experience with Security Command Center, Policy Intelligence, or similar Google Cloud Platform security tools
Knowledge of Access Transparency, audit logging, or identity threat detection use cases
Background in anomaly detection, behavioral modeling, or security-focused ML projects
Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Machine Learning Engineer or Cloud Security Engineer
Understanding of secure software development practices in regulated environments
