Job Details:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Permanent Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality engineering methodologies and providing quality engineering support within new product development, operational, and system settings. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Implement and monitor supplier quality programs, ensuring compliance with the company's standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.
3. Establish and implement metrics for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound product quality decisions.
4. Perform root cause analysis and resolution of quality issues with suppliers and internal processes.
5. Review and approve supplier first article inspections and PPAPs.
6. Develop long-term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction and improvement ideas.
7. Use Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve supplier performance.
8. Drive "Zero Defect" mentality within the supply base.
9. Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to ensure the smooth implementation of new products and processes.
10. Participate in Kaizen events and lead cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of quality systems and certifications, including ISO 9001.
4. Proficient in quality tools such as SCAR, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, Process Capabilities, Gage R&R.
5. Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
10. Ability to travel as required.
