Description
We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Windsor, Connecticut. In this role, you will provide technical expertise to ensure the smooth operation of various applications and systems while addressing user concerns effectively. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to impactful projects and delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
Provide timely support and troubleshooting for application-related issues to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of applications.
Monitor system performance, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or inefficiencies.
Maintain and update technical documentation and user guides for supported applications.
Implement upgrades and patches to enhance application security and functionality.
Offer guidance and training to users to improve their understanding and usage of applications.
Analyze user feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable solutions.
Work closely with vendors and external partners to address technical challenges and implement solutions.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards in all technical processes.
Assist in the setup and configuration of hardware and software as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in Active Directory and experience with Dell Technologies.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware and application support processes.
Familiarity with Cisco Technologies and network configurations.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical support or application engineering role.
Hands-on experience with 3D parametric design tools such as SolidWorks is an advantage.
Background in hose, tube, or automotive design is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
