Description:
Title: Systems Administrator 2
Location: Hybrid - West Greenwich
Type: Contract - 6+ Months
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of IT projects from planning to implementation
- Collaborate on project planning, risk management, and contingency strategies
- Define system standards and recommend performance enhancements
- Develop and maintain documentation of best practices and support procedures
- Evaluate hardware, software, and vendor solutions
- Conduct research and resolve technical issues in complex system environments (physical, virtual, and cloud-based)
- Perform tasks assigned by senior management
- Provide technical support and consultation to internal teams
- Execute other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise IT environments
- Strong understanding of core networking and operating systems concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft environments including Windows Server (2008-2019), Group Policy, and Microsoft Application Servers
- Experience with Microsoft 365/Office 365, Azure, Intune, and modern management platforms
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Basic experience with Active Directory/LDAP for identity management
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or equivalent certifications
- Experience in global technology deployments and rollouts
- Exposure to AI technologies including machine learning and data science
