Position : Platform Engineers/Support (Middleware)
Location : Charlotte, NC - Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Duration : Long Term
Job Summary:
Project Scope- they are building specific teams for platform engineering. This role is for specialized developers who will also tune the underline platform to meet the demands of applications.
Must have - Java Development, API/Microservices implementation, Mule integration, MQ, JVM tuning, real time monitoring- Splunk, Dynatrace and Appdynamics
Comments : I just wanted to flag that the skillset we are trying to source (Java + SRE + Platform + Middleware + Performance tuning + Infra automation) is an extremely niche combination. In the current market, these are typically two different profiles: either strong Java Engineers or Platform/SRE Engineers. It is rare that we get candidates who genuinely cover both areas at a deep level. Stack- Java, Mule, JVM Tuning, MQ, APM tools
Required Qualifications:
Driving a shared service strategy and performance culture
Relevant IT experience (SDLC- Waterfall / Agile) preferably within a financial domain
Strong experience in Java/J2EE, Web Services, SQL & PL/SQL (Oracle)
Strong knowledge of XML, JSON and its usage within API and Microservice implementations at scale
Familiarity with Eclipse IDE, WebLogic Application server or JBoss or Mule..
Strong experience in Integration Technologies Mule ESB & IDE or equivalent, previous Middleware experiences.
Experience in monitoring, triaging and performance tuning.
Strong experience in Mule or WL or JBoss or WebSphere administration.
Experience in Splunk, Dynatrace or AppDynamics (APM tools).
Knowledge of Test-Driven Development and Unit Testing (Cucumber/Litmus, JUnit)
Able to contribute to 1. Automation 2. Causal analysis 3. Develop shared/common solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (both to a technical and non-technical audience)
Analytical Thinking, Attention to Detail, Team Leadership, Problem Solving, Innovative thinking, mentoring.
Operating in a highly Agile continuous integration and continuous deployment environment
