Contract to permanent hire

• Location: 1-2 days hybrid on-site in Woonsocket, RI (Preference) or Hartford, CT
• hybrid position - need to go to the local facilities - 20% of work week
• 6-months before conversion to a permanent employee
• Salary Conversion Expectations: ~$75,000 - $88,000/yr. Equivalent hourly rate + benefits prior to conversion.
• Candidates need to work as W2 employees with us

Skill-Set:

• Years of Experience: 2+ up to 8 years of experience within Windows/Infrastructure Engineering
• Standing up servers, network connections, connectivity issues, helping to do app upgrades, security remediation, OS systems (Server systems), and knowing what a vulnerability is, knowing what a network connection, server connection, and database
• OS: Windows, little bit of Linux
• Size of Environment: Mid-range volume support - about 10 apps - maybe about 25-40 servers across different environments
• Server: Windows (Big on servers), mostly on-prem, but moving towards cloud (Azure is a nice to have)
• Will work on Workstations / Kiosks
• Windows, Linux, sql, DB2 (Operating systems)
• Personality: Someone who's motivated to keep learning

Role:

• Standing up servers, network connections, connectivity issues, helping to do app upgrades, security remediation, OS systems (Server systems), and knowing what a vulnerability is, knowing what a network connection, server connection, and database
• Need to know how to manage applications don t need to be a coder or developer but will be facilitating work
• Windows / SQL-Lite
• Firewall protection
• Server Administration
• Coordinate connections from user to server
• Print shop - adding new print servers - new kiosks
• Drops, network connections, security hardening
• Physical plant - understanding of how applications work
• Setup firewall clouds - Imperver, Akimi - understanding how the infra looks like
• Familiarity with SCCM - packaging software
