Machine Learning Engineer

Role Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning models, algorithms, and systems, analyzing large datasets, performing pattern recognition, and applying statistical techniques to solve complex problems in the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning algorithms and models to address specific challenges in the oil and gas sector.
• Perform data mining and analysis to uncover patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement within industry data.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate AI/ML technologies into our operational processes and product offerings.
• Continuously update and refine machine learning techniques to enhance system performance and accuracy.

Technical Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and statistical analysis.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, Scala, or Java, and familiar with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Experience with big data technologies and ecosystems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Skilled in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Matplotlib) with the capability to turn data insights into actionable business recommendations.
• Familiarity with deploying machine learning models and managing data infrastructure on cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Understanding of the oil and gas industry s operational challenges and regulatory environment is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing machine learning algorithms and models, with a portfolio or examples of past projects preferred.
