What You Will Do :

The candidate will be assessing how IT is planned, programmed, budgeted, and executed within the Department of Air Force (DAF) and how this process supports the overall governance of the IT portfolio in accomplishing the Commanders Programming Guidance (CPG). The ability to do this requires strategic and analytical skills, demonstrated experience and knowledge of the current DoD Strategy, Programming, Planning, Budgeting and Execution (SPPBE) environment, and IT-specific resource management processes. Requires a proven record of decision making and problem solving in a dynamic environment coupled with ability to establish strong client relationships.

Specifically, the candidate will:

Evaluate and identify financial and budgetary injection points between SPPBE and Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) for synchronization across the DAF. Compare execution of IT resources (IT Spend) against programmed and budgeted requirements, identify/document variances, identifying key areas for further research/analysis. Assess current IT spend processes within SAF/CN and recommend process improvements across DAF organizations (i.e. SAF/FM). Develop SPPBE Playbook document to capture IT spend processes, establishing repeatable standardized procedures and definitions within SAF/CN. Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, providing professional products documenting processes, recommendations, and analysis results to stakeholders.

What You Will Need :
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET federal security clearance
  • FOUR (4) years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of government accounting
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics capabilities


What Would Be Nice To Have :
  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with the PPBE process
  • Experience with PBES, CRIS, and/or DEAMS
  • Deep understanding of DoD budget execution and accounting
