As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in advancing data-driven strategies and initiatives to optimize operations, improve efficiency, and drive impactful decision-making in the renewable energy domain.

They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist with a passion for sustainability and expertise in data analytics to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis, along with experience in the renewable energy sector. You will be responsible for leading data-driven projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and developing innovative solutions to address complex challenges in green energy production, storage, distribution, and utilization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions to optimize renewable energy generation, storage, and distribution systems.
  2. Utilize statistical modeling, machine learning, and optimization techniques to extract insights from large-scale data sets and identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings.
  3. Collaborate closely with engineers, researchers, and domain experts to integrate data science solutions into existing processes and workflows.
  4. Design and implement predictive maintenance models to enhance the reliability and performance of renewable energy infrastructure.
  5. Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in renewable energy production and consumption data.
  6. Develop data-driven forecasting models to predict energy demand and optimize resource allocation in renewable energy projects.
  7. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling data visualizations, reports, and presentations.

Qualifications:
  1. Master's or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in a data science role, with a proven track record of applying advanced analytics techniques to solve real-world problems.
  3. Strong proficiency in Python along with experience using libraries and frameworks for data analysis and machine learning (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  4. Experience working with large-scale data sets and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is highly desirable.
  5. Deep understanding of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and optimization techniques, with practical experience applying them to solve complex business problems.
  6. Knowledge of renewable energy systems, technologies, and industry trends is preferred.
